India’s Total Renewable Energy Capacity Crosses 200 GW Milestone

India’s renewable energy journey has reached a new peak with the country’s total
capacity crossing the 200 GW (gigawatt) mark totaling 201.45 GW. This milestone
underscores India’s rapid progress in building a diverse robust energy base. With the
inclusion of nuclear capacity the total non-fossil fuel-based power now accounts for
almost half of the country’s installed electricity generation capacity signaling a strong
environment for continued solar investment and clean energy leadership.
